Where we work
The foundation acts as a capacity builder, connector, collaborator, catalyst, and advocate for change. It strives to complement the efforts of county governments and other development stakeholders in addressing long-standing and emergent community development challenges, particularly in low- resourced, marginalized, and fragile environments where we operate.

“Everything we do is guided by our values – we partner, are impactful, creative, ethical and responsible.”
Our Story
About Us
Beegsan Foundation is a national NGO harnessing the power of community systems to create an equitable, inclusive, and sustainable world.
Beegsan Foundation was started as a lobby group in 2019 by leaders from Mandera’s health, religious, business, and education communities, to help foster healthier pastoral communities in the marginalized areas of Northern Kenya.
Initially, it focused on providing support to vulnerable children and their families through a one-to-one orphan sponsorship programme in Mandera and Wajir County. The organization has continued to evolve over the years to adapt to the changing global environment and to meet emerging needs.
To this end, the Foundation was registered in 2022 with the Kenya NGOs Coordination Board (Reg. No. 218/051/204/0374/3386) to better reflect our purpose and geographical outreach.
