Pillar 3 – Humanitarian Support

Kenya is heavily affected by recurring droughts. Kenya’s arid and semi-arid lands are among the most affected when droughts occur. When natural disasters and conflict strike, Beegsan Foundation provides relief in crisis situations and address immediate needs for survival. We offer life-saving assistance, such as emergency shelter, water, food, and hygienic products, to make sure people are safe and properly protected.

We also support communities to anticipate the adverse effects of climate change and take appropriate actions to prevent or minimize the damage they can cause because well-planned, early adaptation action saves lives and money.

We partner with local authorities to build the capacity of communities to respond to unfolding hazards and disasters in a timely and effective manner.

Once the crisis is over, we stick around and help people return to their homes, where we strengthen their ability to anticipate, adapt and respond to future disasters.

Our assistance links relief to rehabilitation, development and peacebuilding and complies with the humanitarian principles of humanity, neutrality, independence and impartiality, and respects International Humanitarian Law.
