Beegsan Foundation is a national NGO harnessing the power of community systems to create an equitable, inclusive and sustainable world.
Delivering accountable change in marginalized areas
Beegsan Foundation was started as a lobby group in 2019 by a group of leaders from Mandera’s health, religious, business, and education communities, to help foster healthier pastoral communities in the marginalized areas of Northern Kenya and initially focused on giving support to vulnerable children and their families through a one-to-one orphan sponsorship programme in Mandera County. The organization continued to evolve over the years to adapt to the changing world environment and to meet new needs. To this end, the Foundation was registered in 2022 with the Kenya NGOs Coordination Board (Reg. No. 218/051/204/0374/3386) to better reflect our broader purpose and geographical outreach.
Beegsan Foundation works closely with partners to ensure community projects are impactful and geared towards sustainable transformation of lives.
